urb-x AG takes the protection of your personal data seriously. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP/nDSG) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
This website can be visited without registration and without providing personal data. Personal data is processed only where you actively provide it, for example by submitting the contact form, and where it is technically necessary to operate and secure the website.
Please note that data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. Transmission to and from this website is encrypted using TLS.
3. Legal basis
Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person. A data subject is a person about whom personal data is processed. Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: processing necessary to respond to your enquiry and to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR: processing necessary to comply with statutory retention obligations to which we are subject, in particular under commercial and accounting law.
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: processing necessary for our legitimate interests, namely operating a secure and functional website, protecting it against misuse, and asserting or defending legal claims.
We do not currently carry out any processing on this website that is based on consent. Should we introduce services requiring consent, we will obtain it separately and you may withdraw it at any time.
Under Swiss law, this processing is carried out on the basis of an overriding legitimate interest, in connection with the performance of a contract, or to comply with a statutory obligation.
We do not process special categories of personal data through this website, and we do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making.

Where personal data is transferred to the United States, the transfer is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which the provider concerned is certified, and on standard contractual clauses where applicable. Our service providers established in the EU may in turn engage sub-processors outside the EU under the same safeguards.

This website contains links to external websites and to documents hosted on external platforms, including Google Drive. When you follow such a link, you leave this website and the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. We have no influence on the processing of personal data by these providers.
Videos, where displayed, are hosted on our own infrastructure. Links to external video platforms are marked as such and lead away from this website.
9. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above:
Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship: deleted no later than 24 months after the last contact.
Enquiries that lead to a contract: retained for 10 years in accordance with the statutory retention obligation under Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations.
Server log data: retained for a short period in accordance with the provider's standard settings.

Right to information and access:
You have the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning you is being processed by us. Right to rectification
Any person affected by the processing of personal data has the right to demand the immediate correction of incorrect personal data concerning them. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you also have the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data, including by means of a supplementary statement.
Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)
Any person affected by the processing of personal data has the right to demand from us that the personal data concerning them be deleted immediately, provided that one of the following reasons applies and insofar as the processing is not necessary:
The personal data have been collected or otherwise processed for purposes for which they are no longer necessary
You withdraw consent on which the processing is based and where there is no other legal ground for the processing
